Tips for a great hot tub party
Having a hot tub is a party waiting to happen. If you enjoy entertaining, hanging out with friends or colleagues and lounging in the water there are some great ideas for throwing a hot tub party that will long be remembered.
The first step in throwing a great hot tub party is to start with having a quality hot tub. Because the hot tub will be the center of attraction at the party, you want to make certain that it is large enough to accommodate the party-goers as well as offering amenities for the guests to enjoy. You'll find that you can purchase one that comes with built-in drink coolers, towel warmers, televisions or radios. Before your guests arrive, make certain you've removed the spa cover and have given the tub a thorough cleaning and that the chemicals are in line.
Your guests will be spending time in and out of the hot tub so be sure that your outdoor living space is party-ready. Make your outdoor living space inviting by having enough chairs and lounges for the guests to relax in, have tables set up and have snacks and drinks available. Arrange the table and seating areas so people can congregate and easily chat with one another. Have some tiki torches on hand to light up the night if the party goes past sundown. Additionally, adding some twinkle lights will help enhance the ambiance of the party. Have you thought about having outdoor games for the guests? Why not set up horse shoe pits or bocce ball areas or even croquet.
Set the mood with music but have it be background noise rather than being so loud as to drown out the party chatter. If the party seems to get into full swing, then you might want to clear some of the patio area, turn up the tunes and let the dancing begin; you know your guests best and know when it's time to party and dance.
Don't forget the food. What kind of party will it be without food? Have snacks, such as chips and dip or veggies and dip. Have tables filled with snacks scattered throughout the patio area. You'll also want to offer beverages in plastic cups so as to prevent the breakage of glass in the patio area. Plan to offer some grilled foods such as burgers, chicken breast filets or hot dogs for your guests. Consider having salads to go with the dinner and you'll have all of the makings of a great hot tub party.
